For centuries, young people have been given a special place in the Eucharistic Liturgy: to assist the priest celebrant by serving at the altar, to serve respectfully and prayerfully so that the people’s attention is on worshiping God, to reinforce the importance that children who serve the mass are a huge asset to the priest and what they are doing is very important.
