Word on Fire LENT 2018

Beginning with a practical Examination of Conscience can be of tremendous value in starting anew in the spiritual life. We invite you to use this tool to help you call to mind the ways in which you have sinned and set yourself apart from God, before approaching a priest in the holy Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Also, join Bishop Robert Barron for this engaging presentation on the seven deadly sins and the seven lively virtues: https://special.wordonfire.org/sevendeadlysins

Jim Caviezel (Passion of the Christ): his new movie, Paul, Apostle of Christ Discussion

Dear Friend:

Whether you live near or far from Franciscan University of Steubenville, you are invited to join us for a special event on Sunday, March 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Finnegan Fieldhouse. Actor Jim Caviezel (Passion of the Christ) will be on campus to discuss his new movie, Paul, Apostle of Christ, and screen excerpts from the film. Caviezel will be part of a panel discussion led by EWTN anchor Raymond Arroyo, alongside Dr. Scott Hahn, and Eric Groth, a 1993 Franciscan University alumnus and an executive producer of Paul, Apostle of Christ.

This is a free event, but if you’re planning on joining us in Finnegan Fieldhouse pre-registration is requested here.

If you cannot join us live, the event will be streamed live online beginning at 7:30 p.m. EST.

More than a movie preview, this evening promises to deepen our Lenten journey as we learn about the birth of the Church amidst seemingly impossible odds when St. Luke (Caviezel) risks his life to visit St. Paul (James Faulkner) held captive in Nero’s darkest prison cell.

We hope you can join us.
